The Pavillion at Lemay
St. Louis County, MO
Community Centers provide communities with a place for residents to gather for group activities, social support, public information, educational programs and other purposes. They serve as an affordable place for people to exercise, and spend time with family and friends.
To create a stronger sense of community The Pavilion @ Lemay was strategically located in Jefferson Barracks park near existing trails and other athletic fields. The 41,000 sq. ft. community/aquatic facility was designed to gently impose upon the parks natural landscape while providing the residents access to aquatic and well as exercise amenities.
The Center includes an indoor gym, walking track, multi-purpose room, childcare center and classrooms with an outdoor lazy river, climbing wall, leisure and lap pools.
The $18Million facility was completed in 2015, funded by $12.5 Million in County issued Bonds, $5Million negotiated with Pinnacle Entertainment, as part of a lease agreement, and federal HUD-EDI funds. The County issued bonds are debt serviced by lease payments from Pinnacle Entertainment with operational support funded through community and economic improvement districts overlaid on the Casino complex and commercial areas adjacent to the facility.
